Hamilton Licenced to Thrill

Hamilton is situated in the Shire
of Southern Grampians in the heart of the Western District of
Victoria, and is the major service centre of the area. Approximately
300 kms west of Melbourne, 500 kms South East of Adelaide, Hamilton
has 2 caravan parks, 12 hotels / motels, and numerous B&Bs, while
further caravan parks and/or hotel/motels are situated at Penshurst,
Wannon, and Dunkeld, all within 25 minutes of Hamilton.
Hamilton is renowned for its magnificent Botanical Gardens, while
the Hamilton Art Gallery and Ansett Museum, are all well worth a

Western Speedway Hamilton
Approximately 3 kms from the Hamilton Post Office, the track is
situated on North Boundary Rd, just on the outskirts of Hamilton.The
racing track has a clay mix surface and is 446 metres measured one
metre off the pole line.
Surrounded by a earth backed concrete safety fence, a further catch
fence is located above the safety fence, and then a mesh spectator
safety fence is located further back behind this.
There is some car parking available, and limited seating, so
spectators are advised to bring chairs.
Catering is provided by a local hot food caterer, while the club
canteens provided cold drinks, sweets, tea, coffee and donuts. The
club endorses an Alcohol Free Policy during the race meetings, and
is a member of the Good Sports Program, encouraging the responsible
use of alcohol.
Competitors information:
There is no camping allowed at the complex.
A strict curfew applies to the race meeting and no racing will be
conducted after curfew.
The complex is an Alcohol Free Zone during the meetings, with a
limited licence for the BBQ after the meeting Strictly no B.Y.O.
Water Restrictions are in force, and are currently level 4, which
means along with many other restrictions, that there is no car
washing allowed in the area.
All track watering is carried out under the current level 4 water
restrictions.
Water is acquired from a private source, and carted with the
assistance of Boral Quarries, Hamilton Livestock Services and
Vickery Bros Coleraine.
No water from Wannon Water is used for track watering

Nominations apply to all classes and to all race meetings, closing
8 p.m. the Monday prior to race night, unless entry forms advise
otherwise.
The NASR Code of conduct applies to all Competitors, Crews and
Officials.
